A hidden gem within the hidden gem. The Sierra Nevada Foothills is one of California’s most historic wine regions and home to the oldest living grapevines in North America.  Founded after the 1849 Gold Rush and home to only 40,000 people spread amongst five towns, Amador  County still has that great American West frontier spirit and beauty.
